Description

We are looking to re-home our 2.5yr old female cockatiel Loki, she is very sweet and easy to handle. Her coloration is grey, white, yellow, and orange cheeks, with yellow dots down her wings. We know she is female because she has laid eggs before (unfertilized, she was never bred). We got her a year before covid and now have taken more jobs to stay financially stable after covid which has just left us with less time to spend with her which means she doesn’t get as much out of cage time as she deserves so we would like to re-home her with someone who can give her the attention she deserves. She sometimes does the sexy whistle but that’s all she knows, she currently has her flight feathers but if you like her to not fly we can trim them before re-homing (wing trimming does not cause pain or permanent damage and they will regrow after she sheds and grows new feathers). One of the main conditions is if you should ever decide not to keep her anymore PLEASE DO NOT RELEASE HER INTO THE WILD! She comes with a large cage that can fit another cockatiel or two but there should be a time of separation and slow introduction before immediately housing her with a new bird or birds to avoid fighting or injury. We have lots of accessories, toys, treats, and will also give you the remaining food we have for her. We have a perch that suctions to the window (she likes to look outside), a hanging tree, a portable stand perch, and even a clear pet backpack that I modified to have perches so you can even take her out with you. We have a harness and bird diapers but we never did much training with them so she isn’t trained to wear them but you’re welcome to do so. Please respond with some info about yourself, someone who has had or has birds is preferred but I am open to a first time bird owner as long as you have done research and educated yourself on their needs and care, please do not adopt her with zero knowledge. I will happily give you advice but it is not my job to teach you everything about cockatiel care and needs, a responsible pet owner should educate themself and do the required research to properly care for their pet BEFORE bringing them into your home. This is not a child starter pet, do not expect your child to be fully responsible for them. Asking a $100 re-homing fee to be sure you are serious and have funds to care for her.
