Learn from presidential historian Dr. Lindsay Chervinsky about the history behind the creation of The Cabinet of the United States. Join us for an evening with presidential historian Dr. Lindsay Chervinsky. Starting at 5:30 PM there will be a talk about the history behind the creation of The Cabinet of the United States followed by a 6:30 PM reception celebrating the paperback release of Dr. Chervinsky's book The Cabinet: George Washington and the Creation of an American Institution. Due to limited seating, advance registration is required to attend the talk and is $5 per person. The talk is free for Lee-Fendall House Museum members but they must register by emailing [email protected] or calling (703)548-1789. Face masks are required inside the museum. The reception starting at 6:30 PM is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and signing. The Lee-Fendall House is a showcase of American history from three different centuries. Since its construction in 1785, the house has served as home to thirty-seven members of the Lee family, hundreds of convalescing Union soldiers during the American Civil War, and one of our nation’s most controversial and significant 20th century labor leaders, John L. Lewis.
