Uncle Danny’s Concealed Handgun Course, is the State required class to apply for the Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate which is required to be submitted with the application for the permit. Some of the topics we include in our course. Instruction on handgun nomenclature and safe handling procedures of a revolver and semi-automatic pistol. Instruction on ammunition knowledge and fundamentals of pistol shooting. Instruction on the use of deadly force and conflict resolution which will include a review of L.R.S. 14:18 through 14:22 and which may include a review of any other laws relating to the use of deadly force. Instruction on handgun shooting positions, & proper handgun cleaning procedures. Live range pistol shooting Child access prevention, safe ways to keep your firearm secured. What to bring?
