Danbury Sets Drive-Thru Distribution Event For COVID-19 Tests

DANBURY, CT — The city will be handing out free COVID-19 self-tests and masks on Sunday, Jan. 2, at Western Connecticut State University. The drive-thru event will be held from 3-6 p.m. at the Westside campus at 3 Lake Avenue Extension. The city will be limiting each family/vehicle to a maximum of one 2-test kit, intended to be used for one person, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. These test kits are for Danbury residents only, according to a statement from the Mayor's Office. The Danbury distribution follows the delivery of a reduced number of self-tests this weekend, after an anticipated much larger shipment fell through Wednesday night.
