As we enter 2022, it's becoming more evident that lots of Denverites are choosing to fly into Eagle Airport from DIA in order to go ski in the Rockies rather than drive 3 hours each way through sometimes brutal snow conditions. Daily flights from DIA to EGE are making this a much more convenient way to access the Rockies, especially considering that the price of a plane ticket is sometimes cheaper than paying for gas going both ways. Eagle County Airport has been expanding in recent years. The completions of the runway extension and terminal building redesign  have turned this once obscure small regional airport into a true contender for the best way to get to Vail, Aspen and all the other major Rocky Mountain resort towns. Some people might not be aware of all the conveniences that EGE airport has to offer its visitors, or might not know of the ground transportation options available for the airport. For this reason, The Vail Valley Partnership has released an Eagle Airport Visitor Guide which should prove very useful for both Denver residents as well as for those flying in from across the county, or internationally and connecting onward to Eagle County Airport.
