Hello everyone, I'm Ian. I'm looking for people with similar music tastes to collaborate, jam, and eventually record with. I'm inspired by punk bands who do more with less in terms of arrangement. I'm in my late twenties and I'm open to working with anyone, age-wise. Here are some of my influences in that vein (in no order): - Fugazi - Dead Kennedys - IDLES - Parquet Courts - The Stooges - Wipers - Joy Division - The Birthday Party - The Cramps - The Fall - Minutemen - Bauhaus - The Cure (earlier post-punk period) - Black Lips - The Clash - Mission of Burma I've played guitar on and off for about 15 years, took music theory in school, and can read jazz chords. I can also play bass, but I'm more familiar with guitar. I'm willing to dive deeper into bass if needed. I haven't played music with others much, school and work have always taken priority until recently. I also have some basic recording gear - mic & basic audio interface. I can do some basic producing with GarageBand and can learn Ableton if needed.
