ALEA says Mitchell Wayne Britt, 37, was fatally injured when the 2016 Jeep Wrangler he was driving collided with a 2021 Hyundai Tucson, driven by a woman from Gordo. The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 82 near Pickens County Road 30, approximately 13 miles east of Reform.
ALEA Public Information Officer Brandon Bailey said Britt was not utilizing his seat belt and was ejected from the Jeep after it left the roadway and overturned.
Bailey went on to say that Britt was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Hyundai, along with a passenger, were not injured.
