seeking companions for diy/queer intentional housing group

I’m looking for folks who are interested in joining me in a new group house venture in Summer 2022. You: -Queer or has plenty of experience living & being in community with queer folks. -ACAB left (no liberals); knows importance of bottom-up community building (we keep us safe); down to meet and get to know your new neighbors, including/especially across lines of race & class -Values the intentional creation of physical spaces that promote & embody the world we want to live in tomorrow -Willing to take responsibility as someone who will help set the tone, vision, atmosphere, structure, and trajectory of what will hopefully be a lasting project -Experience with intentional living, community organizing, activism, etc. a huge plus but not required -I won’t say no cis het white men, but there is a higher bar for demonstrating good faith if you don’t have firsthand experiences of living thru marginalization, poverty, etc. -pets welcome!! Me: -30yo queer white trans woman, in DC since 2017, newly stable with a good remote job after spending much of the pandemic unemployed -Avid reader and writer, especially of nonfiction and poetry -Active small-scale queer & trans community organizer looking to increase the impact of my efforts in 2022 and beyond -Originally from stolen Chickasaw land in what is now north Mississippi and west Tennessee; in a previous chapter, i also lived and worked in China for a number of years and still speak decent Mandarin -Might have 2 kitties by the time summer rolls around Nitty Gritty: -I could move as soon as May but i think summer/fall would be better so there is adequate time for planning and making arrangements, and for finding a property that we feel great about. -Ideally i would like to put together a group of 4-6 people (including me) to go in together on a new lease of a townhouse / row home in Petworth, Brightwood, Takoma, Bloomingdale, Edgewood, Brentwood, Brookland, etc. -Would like to be doing interviews and slowly building up the group until May or so and then begin taking more concrete steps. If you can see this post, that means i haven’t taken it down yet and i want to hear from you!!
