"Unique" bands, flag this before wasting your time reading it.

So many "artists" running ads here, stating that they want to form a band doing something unique or epic. Laughable at best. Now each singer is unique, but there are only 12 notes in the whole universe and no more than that. Now if you want to play out of tune, every instrument playing in a different key and different time signature, that would be totally unique. But you may not get very far with that. So write a good song and let the audience make the decision on its place in the sun. There is no such music style as Indie, nor Alternative, nor Grunge. If you play guitar with a drummer, you are playing rock n roll, or jazz, or country, or blues. You may be more metal or more progressive or punkish, but it is still rock n roll.
