Sea Reach Ltd Fabricator - welder We would like to fill this position in the first two weeks of January 2022 Sea Reach Ltd. is an award-winning, full service exhibit design and fabrication firm located in Sheridan, OR. Sea Reach collaborates with private and governmental agencies in the design, production, fabrication and installation of interpretive exhibits and wayfinding signage. We work all over the United States, with some international projects. Our ideal candidate is polite and has a can-do attitude, can manage themselves, always looking to lend a hand, works well with others and has a sense of humor. Someone who listens well and thoughtfully follows instructions and contributes ideas about how to improve the work and products. Reliable - to work on time each day. Summary: The fabricator needs to be able to lift 50 to 70 lbs. Several years of experience fabrication in metal. Welding aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel. Needs to feel comfortable in a shop working alone on a project from start to finish. There will be on the job training for the work required. Responsibilities: Working from shop drawings Prepare an materials request order Cut parts to be welded Weld aluminum, mild steel and stainless Design gigs for use on production items Fabricate products with a level of precision so that they can be disassembled, shipped and reassembled. Bonus - is someone who can do electrical work - set up audio boxes, or interactive elements with lights and push buttons Bonus - experience fabrication with a wide variety of materials Travel for installations (nationwide) Experience & Education: Comfortable reading construction drawings Comfortable fabrication from design intent drawings Knowledge of basic geometry and math for figuring out angles and circumferences Advanced tool knowledge Able to picture a three-dimensional object from a flat drawing Good understanding of hardware and its application Problem solving Full-time position. General operating hours are between 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
