Hi all! I have a pair of Pelvischromis Taeniatus, the Oliwe color morph, and they should be spawning soon. I'm putting out feelers to find knowledgeble fishkeepers who are interested in fry down the road. These guys are hard to find, but because the Wet Spot rules they occasionally have a pair for 40$, but only pairs. These fish are closely related to the more common Kribensis and their care is similar. They are mostly peaceful cichlids, but fiercely protect their young, so if you have other bottom dwelllers or more than a pair there must be space. Otherwise, these are gentle small guys that max at about 3" and a pair can be kept in 20 gallon with dither fish. They need caves, and appreciate sand to dig in and rearrange, and lots of plants. They pick their own mates for life, so generally people get a small group if they want a pair. Asking re-homing fee of 10$ each, or 50$ for 6 or more. I'm selling them cheap instead of getting their full value by selling online cuz I'd like to know they end up in a good home, so please let me know a bit about how you plan to keep them.
