The Oasis Marriage Retreat serves as a time for you & your spouse to connect, be encouraged and equipped, and to leave feeling refreshed. We invite you as church staff, along with your spouse, to a short winter getaway at our annual Oasis Marriage Retreat. At Oasis, we give intentional space to relax & be refreshed to you and your spouse. This time away also includes... Times of worshipping together led by Woodlands Worship.Opportunities to connect with other couples around the FLD.Equipping sessions with our speakers this year, Ken and Tina Moberg. Ken and Tina Moberg founded Highland Community Church (EFCA) of Wausau, Wisconsin, and served there for 16 years before moving on to serve the Forest Lakes District of the EFCA. They are now serving in their third interim pastorate, this one in Janesville, WI. Ken and Tina enjoy making memories together and have been married 44 years. God has given them two grown daughters and eight grandchildren. The Oasis Marriage Retreat will be at the Hilton Garden Inn in Wausau, WI. The hotel is two miles from Granite Peak Ski Area, with some rooms offering a view of the peak. Local shopping, dining, and entertainment are five-minutes away. Along with being only four miles from Rib Mountain State Park, this hotel serves as a beautiful place to host our event and allows for you and your spouse to have a great time! Commonly asked questions ... Are there precautions for COVID-19 at the hotel? Regarding the pandemic, we want you to know that the Hilton Garden Inn is continuing to take great, intentional care of their guests and facility to make sure it is a safe environment. Click here to learn more about their COVID-19 precautions and safety measures. Can we attend the Oasis Marriage Retreat Sessions and not stay at the hotel? Yes, you can! We are happy to have you attend and be a part of the day - including meals! Since your meals will be covered and you will be in attendance, you & your spouse will still need to register with a special code given by us at the FLD. Please contact us for further instructions on how to register.Can we attend for a portion of the retreat if we're unable to attend the whole time? Yes! We have created different ticket options for you to choose from in the registration process. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us! Can children come to Oasis? This retreat is a time away for you and your spouse. We encourage this to be a time without children. If childcare is an issue, please contact us.Do you provide financial assistance? Yes!
