Primary responsibilities include: Work with honey bees daily/weekly, drive medium duty diesel truck, drive all terrain forklift, lifting, organizing and maintenance of beekeeping equipment, loading/unloading truck, move bees at night or early mornings on occasion, extract honey, general care of bees. All of these activities will be taught and supervision provided. This is a highly physical job with much lifting & activity, you will not need your gym membership any longer. This is full time, mostly outdoors from late March to end Sept/early Oct. It is also very rewarding, fun and you will learn a ton. Training with bees, truck diving, forklift etc… is all provided, prior experience is helpful but not necessary. A willingness to do quality work, play well with others and solid communication skills is what we’re looking for. Candidate must be available for training at least part time in Jan, Feb and March. Competent & safe drivers only. Pay range $16-19/hr depending upon skills and end of season bonus. There is possibility for right person to grow into farm manager with more pay following a full season.
