SAN DIEGO, CA — A man died Saturday morning after he was pushed into an oncoming freight train in San Diego, police said.
The incident was reported just after 6:15 a.m. at the Old Town Trolley station, according to Lt. Andra Brown of the San Diego Police Department.
The victim and another man had just gotten off a southbound trolley and were walking along the platform when the man was pushed into the train, the San Diego Union Tribune reported.
First responders found the victim with trauma to his upper body on the trolley platform, Brown said. He was pronounced dead at 6:23 a.m.
The suspect fled from the station on foot, the Union Tribune also reported. He was described only as a light-skinned man, 5-feet-7-inches to 5-feet-9-inches tall with a thin build and wearing black clothing.
