Press release from the Village of Grayslake: January 1, 2022 Registration is now open for the 2022 Garbage and Recycle Can Exchange Program. Registration is from January 1 - February 15. Residents opting to exchange their garbage can may choose one of three sizes. Residents may also choose a FREE UPGRADE for their recycle can size from a 65-gallon to a 96-gallon.  An upgraded recycle can offers more recycling room, same floor space as smaller cans and less waste, which could result in reducing your garbage can size. The can exchange takes place on your regular service day typically in late March.  The new rate will be effective with the April 1st bill.  The exchange is for residents who would like to have either a smaller or larger can size.
