Description
Wanted; keyboard/piano player who can sing....well. Harmonies are required.
Don't need a Rick Wakeman, Cory Henry, or Dave Brubeck but you should know some theory, have some ability to play by ear.
If you can play some rhythm guitar, so much the better. Would be great to find someone 35 years old and up. Just for the shared experience, references, etc.
We have bass, lead guitar, drums. We all sing some, one of us can sing lead but doesn't want to all the time. If you can sing lead that would be great. Would prefer a male.
You will need your own equipment, although we have P.A. and rehearsal space. We have some keys but you need your own, 'cause that says you are committed enough not to hock your tools and disappear.
We are playing covers right now, gotta start somewhere. Some of us have been in original music projects but that takes time and an ability to work well together, people who can react to each other, like to collaborate.
We are older so we don't want to be a bar band. Been there. Private shows and parties, Casinos, other functions like those. Not looking to play all the time, we need to see what happens with what we have. Rehearse once a week right now, maybe more later.
Playing Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, Social Distortion, Neil Young, B.O.C., Joe Walsh, Badfinger, The Hollies, and other stuff that bands might not play too much of around here. Late '60s to 2000s. Some B sides too.
One more thing......
Remember when all these musicians/people were on twitter, facebook, etc saying that they didn't want to know, deal with, or be friends with Trump supporters?
If you felt/feel that way, no need to reply to this post.
