Description
Join us in the classroom as we break down the style and history of the beers we brew and love. The taps are on, the beer is pouring, and class is back in session – in person! Head down to Ohio City to expand your beer knowledge at Hop College: Beer 101. Students who enroll in Hop College: Beer 101 will head to the “classroom” where GLBC Cicerone certified Beer Educators crack open the story of beer – where it came from, how it’s made, and the best way to taste it. Our Beer Educators will help you tap into a deeper understanding of craft beer the GLBC way, by taking a look at our brewery, history, and philosophy. There won’t be any textbooks, but we will have plenty of beer to help enhance your learning. We will be studying: - Dortmunder Gold Lager - Crushworthy Lo-Cal Citrus Wheat - Hazecraft IPA - Edmund Fitzgerald Porter - Seasonal Beer! Each General Admission ticket will include one 5 oz. pour of each beer, so have those taste buds ready! Students who participate in this class will receive a special Hop College branded Nonic Pint Glass and notebook (both pictured below), as well as official beer nerd bragging rights. For the health and safety of our hard working brewery employees, proof of vaccination (final dose administered at least two weeks before class date) is required for participation in Hop College classes at the brewery. Graduate at the bottom of your glass at Hop College, where our taproom is your classroom! The Fine Print Details are subject to change without notice. Effective September 7, 2021, proof of vaccination is required for ALL tour and Hop College guests. You will be asked to present your vaccination card upon checking in for your class. Masks are not currently required for vaccinated guests, but you are welcome to wear one throughout your class. Payment is non-refundable, and event date is non-transferable. Please book your date and time carefully, as refunds will not be awarded. You MUST be 21 or older with a valid ID to consume, purchase, or pick up alcohol. No ID. No alcohol. No exceptions!
