Bestman Entertainment Presents: AFRO FUSION CONCERT Come experience the musical talents of masked afrofusion artist PEKIN and friends Pekin is a masked Afro fusion artist who wants to break the stigma of vulnerability in the African community. Growing up in an African household it’s hard to express your feelings without being ridiculed or neglected, especially when people feel like they know you well. Love in our community is shown by what you do for someone rather than how you feel. Pekin finds himself split into two different people. On one side Pekin is a man who’s repressed emotions has led him to become cold to others and on the other side he’s a sensual, loving, and romantic guy. Music is Pekin’s release of the emotions he’s become too comfortable repressing. As an African man it’s important to confront our feelings before they confront us. Feelings aren’t just falling in love and being infatuated. Those hard headed ways, insensitive commentary, and narcissistic behaviors are also to be confronted as well.
