Please help save our loved dog

Hello there, so our family lost our home and have been through so much together! We have managed to keep our dog through all of hotel after hotel. We finally found a home that is very strict on no pets. It was an extremely difficult decision for our family to choose a home over keeping him. We thought we would be able to put him down with knowing that we’ve given him lots of love and a good life. But I just don’t know how to do that!! It’s not fair to him he’s a good dog, he’s potty trained, he is not a destructive dog. However he is extremely protective he doesn’t do well with other people or children around his family. He needs someone who would work with him, I know if we weren’t around his behavior would change because he does warm up after time. He would be a great dog for someone that has property. I need someone to help save his life!
