This workshop closes the gap between you and the person raising your food. Meet with some of our livestock farmers! This workshop is designed to get you in front of the people who produce your food. We have invited some of our livestock farmers to come hang out with us for an evening. This will give them an opportunity to tell their story and explain their farming practices. All while you will be watching our butchers in action breaking down a side of pork that came from the same farm! Lastly, you will be taking home a share of the animal to fill your freezer with. So in the end, you'll be able to meet and chat with the farmer, watch the butcher practice their craft, and then take it all home with you. This is a very unique opportunity and we are very excited for this one! This workshop will be featuring Colin Brown of Gifted Grass Farms Class will also include tasting of various cuts off the carcass, a glass of wine, and of course some Marrow charcuterie Marrow is Detroit's first restaurant butcher-shop hybrid. Open in the daytime as a butcher shop and in the evening as a restaurant and bar, Marrow prides itself on local sourcing and full utilization.
