Press release from Pinecrest Gardens Blog: December 30, 2021  As we close out another wild and crazy year, I'd like to give a little recap of what the Horticulture team has been working on in the most recent months. Any Garden is truly a living work of art.  As we move gracefully into 2022, it's a good time to look back at our pallet, and address our garden plans for the future!  With the shrinking footprint of our nursery where we grow, store and categorize many of our plants, the Gardeners have been working diligently to display some of those collections publicly. Doing so makes room for new species for the upper garden project, and helps add exciting display plants to the garden. The Gardeners have been working as hard as ever planting out and, finding new specimens, to keep the Gardens looking perfect.  Here's what's new in the Garden for 2022! Leather Fern, Achrosticum danaeifolium Terminalia ivorensis 'Variegata' or Ivory Coast Almond tree Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelii', or Red Abyssian Banana.  Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelii', or Red Abyssian Banana.  Pritchardia pacifica or Fiji Fan Palm Eulophia petersii or desert ground orchid  Codiaeum variegatum or crotons That's a short list, but new plants are being planted every day in the garden! Next time you come by the garden, ask the gardeners what's been going on. They'd be more than happy to share the new additions and all of the incredible work they do. Without them, we wouldn't be Pinecrest Gardens! Happy 2022, and Happy Digging! This press release was produced by Pinecrest Gardens Blog. The views expressed here are the author's own.
