Press release from the University of Houston-Downtown: December 09, 2021 Next week, the University of Houston-Downtown and H-E-B is hosting a COVID-19 Vaccinaton Clinic for the UHD Community and the public from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Wednesday Dec.15 in the UHD Welcome Center. During the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic, participants will be able to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine or Pfizer booster shots. Vaccine recipients who have completed their initial series of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at least 6 months ago and meet the criteria below qualify: 65 years and older Residents who live in long-term care settings Age 18-64 who have underlying medical conditions Age 18-64 who work in high-risk settings Age 18-64 who live in high-risk settings Participants are asked to bring an identification card that matches their appointment name and to wear a mask during their immunization. Be sure to bring your COVID-19 vaccine record for an additional dose or booster appointment. Also, if you received your first dose somewhere other than H-E-B, please be sure to indicate the manufacturer and date of your first dose when completing your registration. If you first dose was with H-E-B, you will be auto-scheduled for your second dose. The campus will also continue to host hand sanitizer stations and provide masks upon request. For your convenience, the Curative testing kiosk outside the Jesse H. Jones Student Life Center is still open, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and free of charge.
