Long Valley Juniorettes Give Back With Baking Boxes, Gift Bags

LONG VALLEY, NJ — The Juniorettes, a group of young volunteers, helped to make the holiday season brighter for about 55 families, as well as expectant mothers. After calling out to the community for a baking supply drive, Long Valley's Juniorettes, who are made within the grade 7 through 12 age range, ended up making up 55 baking boxes, the Long Valley Junior Women's Club reported. Those boxes were donated to Long Valley's Food Pantry and then passed to area families that the pantry assists, to help them create holiday treats at home, as part of the Juniorettes' "Holiday Hope" drive. Baking trays, mixes, oils, salt, sugar, icing and other baking supplies were included in the decorated boxes for the families. The Juniorettes additionally put together gift bags filled with personal care items, for expectant moms being helped out at Birth Haven, a Sussex County-based group. "Fantastic job ladies," the Junior Women's Club posted. "We love the work you're doing to support those in need in our community. Keep up the great work."
