Press release from the City of Oak Forest: December 30, 2021 According to the National Weather Service, a storm system will bring several inches of snow to much of the area and blustery winds from the north causing blowing and drifting snow on Saturday afternoon/night. Regardless of the exact snow amounts, the combination of snow and wind will make travel hazardous.  If you must go out, please drive carefully – slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and other vehicles. Please remember that parking is not allowed on city streets at any time within 12 hours after a snowfall of 2" or more has occurred.  Also, do not shovel snow into the street as it is illegal and creates a hazard for drivers and pedestrians.  When clearing your driveway, pile snow in your yard past the driveway in the direction of travel.
