Press release from the Emmaus Public Library:

On the cusp of closing out the year, we have private-funding numbers for November (with apologies for the delay) — and they are great — with another $24,159 added last month! That brings the total to $129,276, including STEM table grants and donations (more below).
Annual fund contributions made up nearly $17K of the total, along with a generous donation from the Friends of the library — in memory of Francee Fuller (1951-2021) — to fund the STEM workstation. Francee was a founding member and past president of the Friends.
Sales in the Friends' Book Nook added more than $500, and their Holiday Book Sale had a great turnout as well (see the photos on Facebook). We thank them again for their amazing efforts all year, leading to a total contribution of $25,924 in 2021!
Finally, cash receipts (printing, lost and damaged items, etc.), sponsorships for the second annual Tee Time at the Library (coming April 29-30, 2022), and miscellaneous donations made up the rest.
As we've noted, overall results include funds received for the STEM workstation — which is now up and in use (special thanks to volunteer Brian Wade for assembling it). Stop in and check it out! There are new activities every week for ages 6 and up (click photo to enlarge). This item was in addition to the yearly budget/private-funding goal of $108,034, making the adjusted total $118,686.
We are still awaiting official word about 2022 funding from our three local municipalities. Stay tuned for news on that and December results after the new year — as well as info on what happens when private funding exceeds the yearly goal — a nice 'problem' to have.
