I am an autistic musician/songwriter/recordist whose life has been impacted by mental illness. I’m seeking to make a network of other people like myself, especially in the western Washington area. I have been passionate for my entire life about making art, and remain so. However, due in part to aforementioned characteristics, I’m awful at the social aspects of making art: networking, touring, performing live, doing press, modeling for photographs, doing social media; many of these things are simply not within my skill-set while others make me uncomfortable and/or unhappy. I’ve come to realize there must be other people like me: people who love to create art but who do not fit as easily into the job description of “artist” that involves being socially capable and conventionally attractive. If any of this resonates with you, I’d encourage you to please reach out, as I’d like to meet likeminded people who have struggled with some of the same issues that I have.
