Description
The Veterinary clinic I work at had to evacuate yesterday. I live in Thornton, so I am safe. My clinic also boards cats, and so we all took cats home with us to keep them safe. I am hugging my pets extra tight tonight and giving the boarding cat I took home extra cuddles. I contacted his humans to let them know he is okay. My heart is breaking for anyone who lost a pet in all this, and I feel helpless so I wanted to offer the one thing I can.
I do pet portraits on the side. I say "pet" because I have drawn dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pigs, goats, horses, and a LOT of bats. If you lost a pet (of any kind) in the fire and would like a portrait, I would be willing to do one at no charge. I know it is not much, but I can`t imagine the heartbreak of losing everything and then losing one of your babies. It doesn`t fix anything, doesn`t fix the situation or bring anyone back. But I would hope it gives a bit of comfort. I would just ask for patience as these days I have a slower turn over time than I would like.
The portraits are done on wood in soft pastels, then sealed to protect them.
