City of Portland, Maine FOOD SERVICE WORKER - The Barron Center, Portland Full-Time position (37.5 hours) – Schedule is 6:30AM–2:30PM - includes weekends and rotated holidays The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maine’s largest skilled nursing facility. Starting pay is $501.75 per week. In addition to the standard rate of pay, we are distributing an additional $5.00 for each hour worked until June 2022 from our Cares Act Relief funds. The generous benefits package includes excellent healthcare ($0 premium with completion of wellness tasks), 13 1/2 paid holidays, vacation and sick pay, 50% USM tuition reduction, retirement contributions, flexible spending accounts for health and childcare expenses. The Barron Center is a 200+ bed long-term care facility with an excellent reputation for a caring, creative work environment. We are currently looking for dedicated people to join our team. General kitchen work – tray set-up, dish washing. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.; must possess valid Maine Class C driver’s license or ability to obtain within first six months of employment; must be able to follow oral and simple written instructions. The successful candidate will be subject to a pre-employment physical exam. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
