Alaskans seek homestead assistants Work and stay with us on our upcoming strawberry farm homestead. These two females must have the ability to endure strenuous tasks, lift at least 40 lbs and hike several miles. Duties would include gardens planting expansion, watering etc processing firewood,grounds maintenance, upkeep,landscaping, dogsitting and help with guests. Duties construction, sawmilling carpentry, masonry, land clearing. These are the areas you would be involved with. Does not necessarily take experience in the field, but have an interest and a positive attitude. Timeline end of May to the end of September short stays maybe acceptable. Work week Monday-Friday mostly on homestead with possibility of a couple of projects off property. We live on a large lake in the interior of Alaska. We are off grid. We have a phone but no internet, access is at community library. Food is difficult in the Bush for now it is a bring your own policy however we can help you get prepared it just takes some planning ahead of time. No pets the right dog might be ok. Income is low to no potential this upcoming season. This is truly an authentic Alaskan experience with minimal amenities. If you cannot use an out house this is not for you. Email Danielle.
