Project Manager, Commercial Building Assessments (Central Pennsylvania) A Commercial Real Estate Due Diligence and Architectural Design firm is seeking Project Managers to complete onsite assessments within 2-3 hours travel time of Central Pennsylvania. The site visits are completed for lenders and buyers/sellers to establish the physical condition of the property as part of lending or purchase activities. Property Condition Assessments (PCA) on sites take 2-3 hours to complete depending on the complexity of the project and Construction Monitoring onsite assessments requires 1-2 hours. A professional demeanor, good note taking skills and an the patience and critical eye to take an abundance of relevant photos is required. Report writing is handled by in house staff of registered and writing professionals. Experienced candidates will be considered for writing reports if interested. Work typically requires additional follow-up communications as reports are being written. Basic knowledge of building elements is required. Need to be a self-starter, willing to take initiative, and ability to take direction well. Previous architecture/ engineering/ construction related experience a plus, but will work with others with experience in the field of building / property maintenance, insurance appraisal and property inspection. Trade school students and graduates in engineering or construction are also welcome to apply. Retired from a career in building construction, design, engineering or as a Director of Facilities, looking to continue to work in your field without a full time commitment, completing an onsite assessment for on a Property Condition Assessment (PCA) and Construction Monitoring visits is great part time work that keeps you involved in the field.
