Runaway Symphony It appears that music may just be the delivery mechanism for the chronicles that Runaway Symphony presents to the listener. Expansive soundscapes and intimate narratives weave a web of stories contemplating consciousness, time, and our place within them. Hardwood Heart Hardwood Heart was born out of compulsion - a desire for guitarist Josh Clinger and mandolin player Jed Nussbaum to keep as musically active and exploratory as possible. What started as two songwriters swapping tunes in backyards and living rooms turned into an impressive catalog of original material and covers, woven together with creative improvisation and vocal harmonies. Together they paired up with bassist Caleb Mattis and forged a sound rooted in bluegrass but stretching into jazz, folk, blues and rock and roll. The trio used the slowdown in 2020 to focus on expanding their repertoire and record their first two EPs, showcasing the band’s intimate lyrics and tasteful instrumentation, and released their third EP, Walls & Picture Frames in June 2021. Runaway Symphony , Hardwood Heart Lucky You Lounge is 21+ at all times. Restaurant hours are 3pm to 10pm Tues- Thurs, 3pm to 12am Fri/Sat and 10am-2pm for brunch on Sundays. There will be no food service available for shows on Sun/Mon evenings. Doors for shows generally open at 7pm and shows will start around 8pm.
