Seeking an energetic, personable, quiet, respectful person or couple to work part-time to care for a large historic estate property on beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The property is rented as a vacation rental on a weekly basis throughout the summer and on and off during the spring and fall shoulder season, with occasional visits by owner and family. Job requirements: Provide full care of outdoor building and grounds, maintenance and repair calls, and cleaning after owner visits. Major in season changeover cleanings will be handled by external cleaning crew but caretaker will be responsible for working with them and final check of work. The grounds keeping requires weeding of beds, trimming of hedges, bushes, and small trees, daily check of pool and spa. In season change over is on Sunday. Must know how to do detailed housecleaning and keep a large home very clean (5 star hotel standard). It also includes showing the property as scheduled to potential guests, meeting vendors, requesting proposals as needed. Job averages approximately 10 hours per week (in total, not per person) . Seeking an attentive person/couple who will respond to our needs by text, email, phone, and in person, and help make our property a unique destination on Cape Cod. Must be Non smokers without pets or children. No drama, must have strong work ethic and desire to keep up a high profile property. Must keep professional appearance and conduct at all times around guests and owner. Excellent cleaning and landscaping references preferred. Compensation for this part-time opportunity consists of private in-law apartment/living quarters on the property (approx 650 sq ft.). This position can be year round or seasonal from late April through November 30. There is ample summer employment available locally which you would be free to pursue while residing on our estate provided you are able to keep up with the caretaking responsibilities of our property. Caretakers will need another source of income. Position is for one person or couple. No pets, no smoking. Must submit to background and credit check and provide personal and professional references.
