Join us this Gin-uary for Gin School. Learn about the OG of American spirits, Gin. From modern cocktails to martinis Gin is Spirit for 2022. Whistle Pig is pleased to kick off the 2022 school year with “Gin-uary,” our first school of the new year. Gin is one of the hottest spirits for 2022, and its popularity is at an all-time high. The canned cocktail market and infusions have made Gin a must-have at all of your 2022 social gatherings. Get ahead of the crowd and learn about the new ways it is being served, drank, and enjoyed by women and men alike. Gin School will be held at Whistle Pig Brewery on January 19 at 6 PM. Join us as we discover that: • Gin doesn’t always taste like a juniper bush. • Gin and tonics can be fun, refreshing, and delicious and fruity! • Martini’s aren’t supposed to be made with Vodka. • There are some amazing cocktails made with gin you are going to want to share. • Gin pairs with really good food. We will start the night at 6 with a pairing dinner prepared by Chef Dani of The Uncommons by kula. This will be served with a featured Gin Cocktail. Class starts and the learning begins at 7 PM. We will explore gins and cocktails, discuss pairings and flavors with the experts from 1350 Distilling, from right here in downtown Colorado Springs, Melissa Ray expert cocktailer, and a surprise local expert. The tasting will include Gin from 1350 Distilling, plus 5 additional gins selected to illustrate the different flavors and subtleties gin offers. True to Whistle Pig’s commitment to over the top, there will be additional surprise tastings, featured gins, and a bottle giveaway (or two). The experts will also teach you to make 2 of our favorite gin cocktails with take-home recipes to share with family and friends. Cocktails, dinner, a specialized tasting of more than 6 gins, learn to make 2 cocktails and take-home recipes all for only $30. We are a community oriented brewery located in the Patty Jewett and Bonneville neighborhoods of downtown Colorado Springs. We look to bring tasting and social events to the community through our brewery and the plaza we share with so many great businesses.
