Description
Danielle Shoots will provide you with tools for self-management so that you can be your highest self in and out of the workplace. The importance of caring for yourself in leadership is more important than ever before. This isn’t about bubble baths and spa days. It’s the tool to practice showing up as authentic and compassionate leaders, managers, and business owners throughout your day. What is intellectual self-care? Knowing oneself and one’s environment. It is taking agency over your daily tasks, schedules, responsibilities and relations within your environment in ways that better care for your physical, emotional and mental well-being as leaders. Following Danielle’s presentation Margaret James will lead participants in a reflective meditation. Those in attendance will be guided through how to navigate the changing seasons and the start of a new year, all while sitting on cushions provided by Olive and Olde's. Meditation cushions will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Please bring a yoga mat or floor pillow, as a backup. To facilitate a relaxing and calming space, TARRA invites and highly encourages you to come in your favorite pair of PJ’s or comfortable attire. Light snacks and libations are included with your ticket. Light Switch Moments: - Learn how to use vulnerability as a self-care tool - Create self-awareness and self-management - Discover how to lead and adapt to change and transition - Give feedback in a way that cares for others' well-being - Ask for feedback in a way that cares for your mental well-being - Assess and develop tools for creating inclusivity in your environments To facilitate a safe, welcoming, and relaxing environment, TARRA will require proof of vaccination for our in-person events. If you have a medical or religious reason regarding vaccinations, please contact Leah Caputo at [email protected].
