Part-Time Housekeeper for Senior Residence

Our senior residence is looking for a hardworking, responsible and reliable housekeeper to work 30 hours per week. Only apply if you are available Monday-Friday 9am to 3:30pm. No flexibility. We will only consider someone that lives in lower Westchester or Bronx area. MUST HAVE CAR OR IN WALKING DISTANCE OF NEW ROCHELLE. 4+ years experience necessary. Hourly rate will be based on number of years experience you have. Essential Duties: Perform general housekeeping duties in resident apartments and in the community’s public areas. Complete assigned work in the order of priority set by supervisor. Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies to avoid waste, damage to area and equipment and to prevent accidents. Practice positive resident relations; respond to resident requests and direct resident feedback and requests to supervisor. Adhere to residents’ personal property rights; maintain the confidentiality of all resident information. Comply with all infection control techniques, procedures, and policies. Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures. Comply with all OSHA Regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Responsible for trash collection and removal and for maintaining trash receptacles and areas in a clean sanitary manner. Performs any other reasonable task as assigned by the facility Services Manager or any Garito Manor Manager. Qualifications: High School diploma / GED preferred Able to provide housekeeping in a resident centered environment, which meet or exceed Garito Manor’s quality standards Desire to work with seniors Ability to handle multiple priorities Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication Competent in organizational, time management skills Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all community procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks, and demonstrates initiative Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions
