All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the 2022 Knights of Columbus Jason Brown Memorial Free Throw Championship. All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2022 Knights of Columbus Jason Brown Memorial Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held on Saturday, January 15th (makeup on 1/29) at The Christ the King Parish gym on Sumter Avenue, which is 3 blocks East of Rt.155 off Western Avenue. Registration and warm ups will begin at 5:30pm. Contest at 6:00PM. Refreshments, pizza and certificates will be provided free to all the participants. ​The Jason Brown Memorial Free Throw Championship is sponsored locally by the Guilderland Knights of Columbus, Council #3357. Winners will progress through district and state competitions. A National champion will be decided at West Point Military Academy in March. All boys and girls 9 to 14 years old are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions. Age as of 1/1/22. Last year more than 120,000 sharpshooters participated in over 3,600 local competitions. ​All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. Participants are required to furnish proof of age (copy of birth certificate) and written parental consent. Entry forms will be provided during registration before the competition.
