Discover the math behind reliability, predictive and preventive maintenance and their role in solving the equation. Speaker: Dr. John L. Ross Jr., CMRP Dr. John L. Ross, Jr has been a practitioner of maintenance and reliability for over three decades. He is a former Captain in the United States Air Force, a Distinguished Graduate of both the Aircraft Maintenance Officer School and the Squadron Officer School and a Gulf War veteran. John is the President of the international reliability consulting company, Maintenance Innovators, Inc. He is the published author of two best-selling books: The Reliability Excellence Workbook, From Ideas to Action; Cover You’re A$$ets, Asset Management at Your Place and at Your Pace. John’s military and civilian career have taken him to all 50 U.S. states, 29 foreign countries and 5 continents. John has been honored to speak before audiences on the subject of reliability, to include invitations from: the IMC Annual Conference, Smithfield Foods Annual Engineering Conference, SMRP Annual Conference (X2), and the Annual Poultry Protein Seminar and Keynote Speaker at the MicroMain Annual User’s Conference. John’s industrial experience includes: aviation, aeronautics, manufacturing, transportation, marine, food manufacturing, mining, facilities maintenance, utilities, power generation and distribution, oil, gas, ethanol, and natural gas. John is a certified Lean Manufacturing facilitator, Process Safety Management SME, and a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP). John holds a U.S. Patent, an A.S., B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. Overview: Most organizations enter into predictive maintenance with apprehension on the true return on investment. With that, many enter into this realm of technology, primarily at first, through a contract service. Given that their “dipping their toes into the water” approach is vastly different than just “taking the plunge,” it’s not surprising that ours is a service and tool that requires more convincing than it is compelling.
