Join us at the museum to look, learn, create, and collaborate! Age: 6–12 years old with a favorite grown-up North, south, east, and west! There are things for your family to see and do every direction you look during this month’s Family Workshop. Explore history and mythology in Sandy Rodriguez in Isolation, then work together as a family to create your own memory-filled mapa using homemade paints and pigments. Family Workshops are a quarterly program designed for children 6 to 12 years old and their favorite adults. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art was established through the generosity of Amon G. Carter Sr. (1879–1955) to house his collection of paintings and sculpture by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell; to collect, preserve, and exhibit the finest examples of American art; and to serve an educational role through exhibitions, publications, and programs devoted to the study of American art. Now in its sixth decade of operation, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art offers a diverse array of exhibitions, publications, and programs that connect visitors to masterworks of American art.
