Description
The Right Thing - a one act play written & directed by Jeffrey Bloom. Produced by Carole Bloom. The Los Alamos Theatre Group, a zero profit assemblage of actors, musicians, technicians, carpenters, designers, and clever friends, was established in November, 2018. A wholly volunteer group, most of whom maintain full time jobs, the LATG donates the money we receive from ticket sales to local non-profit organizations. The theatre company is challenged by the scripts they’re given, and the tasks set out for them. The group rehearses for months for a handful of performances. And because we give more than we receive, we usually sleep well at night. To date, with our sincere thanks to everyone who purchased tickets or made sponsorship donations in the past, we’ve been able to produce five original plays. We've done drama, mystery, comedy, and musical. We were given a large theatre space in town, at zero cost to us. We’ve discovered more actors, gotten local businesses involved in supporting roles, and our audience grows with each new production. Some LATG donees: Los Alamos Foundation (Summer In The Park), Shadow’s Fund, Deity Dog Rescue, Los Alamos Senior Center, SYV Animal Shelter (in memory of Hitch), Los Alamos Kitty Rescue, Search Dog Foundation, Friends of The Los Alamos Library, Boys and Girls Club of Burbank, Paso Robles Youth Arts Center. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some comments on our most recent production -Trash, A Courtroom Musical About A Very Untidy Death - from attendees: We LOVED “TRASH!” It was witty and timely and performed with love and enthusiasm. The company has developed a following in the community. BRAVO! The new venue offers staging options and challenges, each addressed with directorial skill and cast flexibility. VIVA LOS ALAMOS!
