Description

Local orchardist Art Church shares his vast experience with new and classic small fruits and providing pollinator habitat. Art Church has experimented with classic and novel small fruit production in this area, from finding the tastiest strawberry varieties to growing figs, goumi berries, and more! Boundary County has a great climate for berry production. You will receive handouts with varietal suggestions and sources for dozens of small fruit varieties, including some that may be brand new to you! Protecting our pollinators is important and not hard to do. Learn how to provide pollinator habitat on your property and they will reward you with abundant production of fruits and vegetables. A hands-on class for those wishing to build a mason bee hotel will be held Sat., Feb. 26, from 9am to noon for an additional fee. Details will be provided to registered participants. Active GROW! members receive a 50% discount on class ticket prices. You will receive a promo code after paying your dues here. Class proceeds are used to support your community garden! Discounted ticket lists will be compared manually to the current membership list before the event--use of a discount code by non-members will revoke the ticket.
