Press release from the Town of Wakefield: December 30, 2021 - 8:48am The Department of Public Works has scheduled a curbside collection of live Christmas trees the weeks of January 10 and January 17 . Collection will take place on residents' regularly scheduled recycling pickup days. The week of January 10 is a blue week; the week of January 17 is a red week. Please remove all lights, ornaments, tree stands, and other decorations. Trees wrapped in plastic cannot be recycled and will not be collected. Live wreaths can also be collected with trees provided they do not include wires, bows, or other decorations. The schedule could be delayed in the event of inclement weather.
