Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: Dec. 30, 2021 The Port Jefferson School District Board of Education and District Administration invite community members to join a newly formed Capital Advisory Panel. The panel will provide feedback on proposed capital bond projects potentially slated for fall 2022. "We are looking for a broad range of input from all of our community members," said Superintendent of Schools Jessica Schmettan. "This includes students, staff members and residents. Please join us for this important dialogue that will impact our Port Jefferson students and facilities for years to come." Interested members can sign up using a form posted on the district website www.portjeffschools.org or by calling the Business Office at 631-791-4231. The initial meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, in the Earl L. Vandermeulen High School Library at 7:30 p.m. Future dates for both virtual and in-person meetings will be discussed at this event.
