STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Mayor Laura R. Hoydick and Superintendent of Schools Uyi Osunde have pledged to take coordinated action on the distribution of COVID-19 rapid tests kits and N-95 masks, when the state's allocated shipment arrives in Stratford. The state has promised an initial delivery of COVID-19 rapid-test kits, and subsequent deliveries of N-95 masks and additional rapid test kits for the school system, according to a news release. "We want to ensure that the distribution is managed as effectively and efficiently as possible, and that as one Stratford, we collaborate to deliver these limited resources to the residents they were intended to reach," Hoydick said. "Resource distribution at this scale is no easy task," Osunde said. "Today, we had a very productive meeting between Town Officials and District Officials which will put us in a position—upon resource arrival—to efficiently get these valuable resources into the hands of our community, and our professional staff. In the meantime, we encourage our families to continue to employ mitigation strategies as we continue to navigate this pandemic." Details on availability of the test kits and masks will be made available in the coming days, the news release states.
