STRATFORD, CT — Police are advising residents of a recent uptick in catalytic converter thefts in Stratford.
Police said they are working toward identifying the people responsible for the thefts.
In the meantime, police are offering the following tips regarding catalytic converter theft:
Install a catalytic converter anti-theft device. These are available from various manufacturers and can provide a level of security from theft.Park vehicles in a garage/behind a fence if possible.If vehicles must be parked in a driveway, consider installing motion sensor security lights and/or cameras. If you see anything suspicious, call and report it to the Stratford Police Department at 203-385-4100.
