To prepare for the days ahead, we will continue to share what you need to know on what's open/closed and where to celebrate in Round Rock. But first, here's everything you need to know about what's happening today. First, today's weather: Clouds giving way to some sun. High: 77 Low: 64. Weekly forecast: Fog may develop early Thursday across the Coastal Plains. A much stronger front is forecast Saturday evening into Saturday night, bringing much colder temperatures and windy conditions to all areas on Sunday. Here are the top 5 stories in Round Rock today: Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be closed through Jan. 2 due to severe staffing shortages. From Dec. 22 to Dec. 31, the shelter's service center will not accept any lost animals brought in by members of the public or any owner surrenders. Other services at the shelter will also be limited.
