FORT LEE, NJ — A Paramus woman is one of two people charged with animal cruelty after a Fort Lee burglary this week, Bergen County Jail records confirm.
Leena Radwan, of Paramus, along with Joseph Valenti, are charged with burglary, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and cruelty to animals. Valenti faces an additional charge of making terroristic threats, according to those records.
The jail records partially confirm an earlier report from the Daily Voice in which Fort Lee Police Capt. Edward Young told the publication that the duo broke into a condo and stabbed Radwan's ex's dog.
Young told the publication that the dog, a German Shepherd, sustained a deep gash, but was expected to recover.
Fort Lee police didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
Bond has not been set for either Radwan or Valenti, who remain in Bergen County Jail as of Wednesday afternoon.
