Press release from the City of Austin: December 28, 2021 Media, please see statement below that can be attributed to an APD Spokesperson: Earlier today, Austin Police Department (APD) officers located a child that was reported missing out of Kentucky. The child is safe, and a suspect has been detained. The child's family has been notified and plans for reunification are underway. We are still in the early stages of the investigation and because this is a multi-agency investigation, we will not be able to release additional information at this time.
