ORLAND HILLS, IL — A new fitness club opened its doors Wednesday just in time for New Year's resolutions. The Edge Fitness Club cut the ribbon on its third Chicago area gym Wednesday at a building in Orland Hills. While the gym was first slated to open over a year ago, COVID-19 shipping delays pushed the grand opening to December. A spokeswoman for the club told Patch members filled the entire 40,000 square foot facility on opening day at the 9291 West 159th Street location. "We're so grateful to the Orland Hills and surrounding communities for welcoming us with open arms, and we are excited to offer our state-of-the-art fitness amenities to help our members reach their fitness goals in the New Year," said Laura Edralin, area director for The Edge Fitness Club. The club is equipped with kids facilities, barre and yoga studios, saunas and a complete gym. "Now more than ever, it is extremely important to take care of both our physical and mental health," said Ron Magliocco, vice president of marketing for The Edge Fitness Clubs. Club officials told Patch memberships range from $10 - $35 depending on what amenities members opt into.
