ORLAND PARK, IL — A stolen car crashed into a retention pond in Orland Park Tuesday afternoon, police told Patch.
Police said they believe the car was stolen from a home in Bloomington and driven to Orland Park at around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
By the time police arrived, the driver had escaped the car and left it partially submerged in the pond at the intersection of Orland Parkway and LaGrange Road.
Police conducted a K-9 search which showed tire tracks in the snow near the pond which did not match the stolen car. A police spokesman told Patch the driver may have been picked up by another vehicle.
