FRANKLIN, NH — A local nonprofit received double the size of a donation after a bank matched its employees' donation effort in 2021. Employees at Franklin Savings Bank donated $10,3000 to Granite United Way earlier this month as part of the company's annual Pacesetter campaign for the nonprofit. The bank then matched the donation, dollar-for-dollar, leading to Granite United Way receiving $20,600. Last year, 93 organizations in six regions served by Granite United Way received funding from its partners. "I am truly amazed at the amount we are able to raise each year to support Granite United Way and all the great work they do to provide critical services to our communities," Ron Magoon, the president and CEO of the bank, said. "Our employees generously contributed over $10,000 this year, enabling us to donate over $20,600, representing a 58 percent increase from the prior year. I could not be more proud of our organization and the work we do in our communities to support the well-being of individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits." The bank has offices in Bristol, Boscawen, Franklin, Gilford, Goffstown, Merrimack, and Tilton. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
